Abstract: Effective Techniques for Developing and Presenting Rapid Subject Matter Expertise
In this talk, Tony Calice will discuss effective techniques for developing and presenting rapid subject matter expertise for internal and external customers.
Frequent “ready to ship” deliverable are required of business analysts because software development/implementation projects are shifting from waterfall to iterative delivery. Two challenges resulting from this are: 1) rapid, decisive analysis requests on bleeding edge technology and regulations and 2) information overload. Executing the necessary due diligence within a time-boxed fashion requires that analysis be the product of ongoing “discovery” rather than stagnant “research”. Attendees will learn how to gain and maintain subject matter expertise without information overload.
